Integrating Personal PBXMate

To open the main screen of the Personal PBXMate, double click on the icon in the taskbar.

From the main screen choose Tools->Sip Account...
• Enter your SIP User name, password and domain.
• Enter information on your "Sip Proxy" (PBX).
• Enter information on your "Local Machine".
• Save your changes and the application will restart itself.

From the main screen choose Tools->Open Log...
If you see the error "unable to bind socket", verify that the information you entered for "Local Machine" is accurate.

Change the settings in your Sip Phone/Softphone:
• Change the IP for the Sip Proxy to be the IP you entered for "Local Machine".
• Change the port for the Sip Proxy to be the port you entered for "Local Machine".
For example, you Sip phone/Softphone may now point to 192.168.0.145:5061.

After these changes, your Sip phone/Softphone should register itself with the Personal PBXMate. And in the main screen of the Personal PBXMate, the "Connect to Phone" should now show Yes .

In addition, the Personal PBXMate should automatically connect to the Sip Proxy (PBX) using the credentials you have provided and in its main screen the "Connect to Sip Proxy" should now show Yes .

Congratulations, you have successfully integrated the Personal PBXMate.

Note: now the Personal PBXMate acts as a "middle man" between your Sip Phone and the PBX and it must be running in order for your phone to work. This limitation could be resolved by adding the original Sip Proxy as a secondary Sip Proxy to your Sip Phone.
